Studies show that only 1% of the general population could be classified as a hoarder.The list below identifies some of the characteristics of a classic hoarder.

• Hoarders obsesses over every item no matter what it is.
• Hoarders have a hard time making rational decisions.
• Hoarders tend save everything.
• Hoarders will save garbage and broken items.
• Hoarders can not make quick decision when throwing out an item.
• Hoarders tend to say “I’ll get to it tomorrow” but never do.
